Chocolate: Friend or Foe?

You may have heard that chocolate is detrimental to your waistline and health, but at Foundation Chiropractic we say eat it up! A recent study in the journal Heart shows that habitual chocolate consumption is correlated to a lower risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke.

Flavonoids found in cacao have been shown to be an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-carcinogen. However, not all chocolate is created equally, so be sure to grab a higher cacao percentage found in dark chocolate.
